This album in the press :
- jub in Humo
: "Bombastic! There, I said it, the word that will probably pop up in
each and every Monza-review. We know someone who has listened to 'Van God los'
with the loudness button of his stereo on. Well, he's now in room 104 of the Virga
Jesse-hospital in Hasselt, no visitors allowed ... "Van God los" is
a debut album with quite a few youthful zits. But you can win Humos Rock
Rally with four good songs, so what are we whining about. They've already let
go of God. Monza are planning a theater tour soon. Maybe they'll see the light
there. Amen."
- Matthieu Vansteenkiste at Goddeau
: "Monza doesn't only mean terrific singles such as "De Stad kan
zo koud zijn" or "De Ogen van Jenny", but also three-songs-in-one
as "Leaving Las Vegas" or the cleverly titled, but disgraced by a wrong
discobeat "Alleen te zijn en hoe er mee om te gaan". And that the band
really hits a miss sometimes, is proven by "Scheiding Kerk en Staat".
... All in all not a bad album then, but it seems that all the unexpected attention
for the first single has made things go just a little too fast and sudden for
Monza."
