Leech are 5 blokes from Kontich: Roel / Tim / Steven Van Aelst, Stijn Bonjean
and Hans Van Den Eynde. They have started about half a year ago and play pop or
differently put melodic rock.
On Thursday January 25th they have won the demo-poll on Studio Brussels, and now
they're looking for a label.
My Opinion
"Leech, Emorock from Kontich", not exactly a pitch that will be hailed
in by many record companies as the next big thing. And a leech - or so I'm told
- isn't exactly my favourite creature in God's creation here on earth. This demo
is a bit more attracitive though.
There are even some beautiful things on it, that indeed stick in your memory "like
a leech": "Turn" and "Today" (because of the lack of
titles, that's how I called tracks 1 and 4). With a bit more solid song material
and holding the structures more tight, there certainly something in here ... Music,
mister.
