ANJA

Anja was a sweet little singer from the late sixties. Unfortunately, I later have learned that she is not Belgian, but Dutch, so she is something of an "illegal immigrant" in these "Belgian Pop & Rock Archives".

The main reason why she is in these archives is her 1969 hit single "De laatste dans" (the last dance). This song and her singer were referenced to in the 1991 debut single by the group Gorki.

Other singles by Anja which made it to the Belgian top 30 are :
- 1969 : "De laatste dans" (20 weeks, highest position n° 3)
- 1970 : "Op het strand van Cadzand" (6 weeks, highest n°14)
- 1970 : "Jouw laatste kus" (11 weeks, highest n° 10)
- 1971 together with Johnny : "Waarom kwam jij toch ..." (9 weeks, highest spot n° 11)
